About

Greetings, and welcome to my corner of the digital universe! I'm a thinker who has learned to discover joy in our resistance and struggle, embracing a rebellious approach to challenge the patriarchal authoritarian systems that surround us. In addition to being a thoughtful mind, I'm a culinary enthusiast and co-owner of a charming cafe-store, a venture I embarked upon with my equally adventurous sister. Together, we weave flavors and experiences that resonate with authenticity.
My commitment extends beyond the kitchen; it encompasses a profound care for our planet and its inhabitants. Guided by a conscious approach to consumption, I believe in honoring boundaries and fostering a collective sense of care and community love. My love for good coffee and authentic food mirrors my appreciation for the genuine and the delightful.
Academically, I delved into the realm of Women's and Gender Studies, sculpting my understanding of the intricate layers of societal dynamics. Currently, I am immersing myself in the world of Political Science at VUB in Brussels, exploring the complexities of governance and power structures.
My journey has been enriched by eight years of hands-on experience in the Syria aid sector, navigating the realms of humanitarian, development, and stabilization efforts. As a Program Officer with a prominent funding INGO, I lend my support to women-led NGOs across the globe, particularly focusing on Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) initiatives.
Previously, I proudly served as the Executive Manager at DARB NGO, a youth-led organization with a feminist leadership approach. In this capacity, I actively contributed to and co-wrote research, policy papers, and statements/press releases, shedding light on the Syrian feminist political space, aid responses in Syria, and the transformative work of DARB NGO.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I channel my passion into a feminist intersectional political podcast, a project that aims to amplify voices and narratives within the Syrian feminist space. Join me in this multifaceted journey of exploration, activism, and celebration of the diverse threads that weave our shared human experience.
