The First Page
Hello, my name is Rawan, and I believe that I am my mother’s daughter; I was made to fight, I believe my life is to be filled with coffee, wine and love, and yes, comfort is overrated, but I believe I deserve to feel the ground beneath me steady to handle my crumbles.
I believe in the change I made and witnessed with brave women, and I am thankful for the love, safety, and space they provided. I believe asking for help is scary, and I build the highest walls around me to avoid vulnerability and hurt. Trusting is strength, but I believe we lose a part of that strength with every heartbreak we endure. I believe that time doesn’t heal but rather community and love.
I believe in our power, in our collective space, in its healing abilities, and I believe every woman should get the chance to experience it once. I believe in respecting and honouring boundaries, and I am learning to love my body for who she is.
I believe in change, and I believe hope is a radical act.
